We spent nearly a week with Eyo at Abbaba's Villa high in the hills above Addis. It is a wonderful retreat, a generations-old family home set in a large wooded compound away from the crowded, noisy and smoggy center-city.
My friend and I spent 3 peaceful nights at Abbaba's Villa. The host makes it easy to find the peaceful location by providing airport pick up. Neighborhood feels safe - lots of friendly restaurants in walking distance.
A very peaceful place with a nice garden, a friendly host and very good local food that tastes pleasantly different than the five Ethiopian classics you know from every restaurant. During my stay in the nicely furnished villa I felt like at home.
